How is your business doing at the moment? Are you awash with orders and work, or are you wondering why everyone else seems busier than you are? There is no doubt that the recent economic downturn is affecting everyone, but that is all the more reason why you should look at getting your business online, if you aren’t there already. Indeed, a business that doesn’t have a website isn’t the type of business that can be accessed at all hours of the day and night. What’s more, if you deal with customers in other countries a website will keep your doors open everywhere too. So how do you get started? How do you go from being a simple bricks and mortar business (even if you are based at home) to being one that has a professional online appearance? Well, you could create a website yourself in theory, but it pays to know what you are doing. If you don’t understand how even the most basic website is put together, then it is much better to have a professional web designer create one for you. The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve with your website. A professional designer will understand how to create a website that takes your business forward into the future. It should also appeal to just the right kind of person you are trying to reach with your message. Of course there are other important factors to consider as well. For example, what will the name of your website be? You need something short and simple to remember; and you also need to check that your own business name hasn’t already been taken as a URL by someone else. In fact, some people actually buy the .com name as well as the .co.uk one, to protect their interests and ensure that they are covering all the bases. There are obviously going to be costs involved with both creating a website in the first place and keeping it running. But they are usually offset by the size of the potential audience you can reach. The cost of designing the site will be the biggest outlay; your domain name or URL is usually paid for on a yearly or bi-annual basis. In addition, your web hosting can be very competitively priced; but this is also essential to have in place, as this is what allows your website to be made accessible online. In short, although it takes time to get online initially, it is certainly time well spent. And once the traffic starts coming in, you will never look back, which is good news for your business.

Does Your Business Have An Online Presence?
Sunday, December 13th, 2009What to Consider When Starting Your Internet / Home Business
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009The first and most important thing about starting up a business, any business, is making it possible for customers to find you. The second and probably just as important is having a strong, solid primary business. After that the rest is advertise, explore, advertise, learn, advertise, consistency, and did I mention – advertise?!
How do you make it possible for your customers to find you? On the internet, your address is your domain name. A domain name is the part of the address that comes after the www. With the never ending growth of the internet, dot.com domains, as well as others such as dot.org, domain names continue to sell by the millions. There are currently more than 20 million dot.com domains and more than 34 million total domains registered worldwide. Experts are estimating that there will be more than 500 million domain names registered in the next ten years. Some experts are even predicting that every personal computer will eventually have its own domain name. Wow! These numbers are huge and they continue to grow at an astronomical rate!
In the late 90’s, the dot.com business was beginning to take off and so many internet companies began to appear everywhere. Most companies were focusing on the internet Content, Banner Ads, etc., while the Founders of GDI were focusing on other extensions to domain names. They ultimately decided on the domain extension dot.ws, which belongs to the tiny island nation of Samoa. With the dot.com domains being so popular and for the most part, used up, it was virtually impossible to find the name you wanted still available. Who would have thought the lack of dot.com availability would have taken GDI and it’s founders to the top? Part of their success was in branding the .ws to signify “WebSite”. Simply brilliant because everyone knows what a web site is.
GDI was launched in early 2000 and by November of 2000, they had already sold over 100,000 dot.ws registrations. Not just to business owner’s like you or myself, but to major companies like Cisco, Intel, Yahoo, Dell Computers, and other major companies in over 180 countries.
There is no limit to their future success. GDI has no competition in the network marketing industry. They are the only company that has the ability to market dot.ws domain names. There are no geographical or income limits with GDI.
Just like the toll free 800 numbers have been used up; and then came 888, 877, etc., dot.com is all but used up too. My selected name was taken at dot.com, but it was available at dot.ws, and now I own it for life! WWW.BETTERLIFESTYLE.WS.
GDI is stable and debt free! They were recently named number 37 on Inc. magazine’s list of the top 500 fastest growing companies (the “Inc500 List”) and number 5 in the state of California. The founders have also been featured on the cover of Entrepreneur magazine.
There is nowhere you can get your own Domain Name, Website, Website Builder, URL Forwarding, Hosting, Website Parking, Name Server Provisions, Customer Support, Web Mail, Email Forwarding, POP, IMAP and 10 of your very own email addresses. WOW – everything you need to start your internet business and all of this for only $10 dollars a month! What’s even greater about GDI is; when you refer others to us, they will pay you for the referral and provide you with an “Income for Life”. But…before you even spend a dime, GDI welcomes you to their site for FREE! For seven days you can visit their site, secure your domain name, build your own website with their website builder (just like my site) and explore virtually every aspect of what GDI has to offer and where they are headed.
GDI is my primary business and you can see why. They are team builders because team = success. With success backing me, I will only succeed. GDI not only covers your basic business needs, but they can provide you with an INCOME.
If you are starting your own internet and/or home business, as I stated earlier, you want a strong, solid primary business. Once that is established, branch out, explore the possibilities. With GDI you get both; the customer’s accessibility to you and their companies strength. “The Sky’s the Limit!” I almost forgot – Advertise! These are the keys to an online and/or home business.
If you missed out on the dot.com boom, be a part of what many major companies have already joined. Here are more companies you may be familiar with that are registered with dot.ws: Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., AT&T, Hormel Foods Corp., BMW, Hershey’s Food Corp., Lucent Technologies, BoseCorp., Wells Fargo, Eastman Kodak Company, Bank of America, UPS, and many more.
My road to success and financial freedom is inevitable. Join me in success! Visit my website at www.betterlifestyle.ws to find out more information about the now company of the future – GDI. Let me help you with your success. I will share my business secrets and together with GDI we will be a part of the internet growth that is exploding.
My â??soon to be Successâ? Story
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009Let me tell you my story of what I call, â??Soon To Be Success.â?
If you are anything like me, you received an email from a friend or acquaintance trying to get you involved in an affiliate marketing program. You probably thought, what the heck is an affiliate marketing program? Then you click on the links, read the stories and testimonials, and the next thing you know you are thinking â?? Wow! This sure sounds promising and pretty easy â?? so you join.
I did the same thing and joined GDI. It is my primary business and a great one at that. It sold itself to me. I was a newbie and I had always wanted my own website to play around with. GDI gave me that with so much moreâ?¦ and at a very low cost. I get my own Domain Name, a Website Builder, URL Forwarding, Hosting, Website Parking, Name Servers Provisions, Customer Support, Web Mail, Email Forwarding, POP, IMAP, and 10 of my own personal email addresses for just $10.00/month. What’s even better â?? when I refer others to GDI, they pay me for the referral and provide me with an “Income for Life”.
I figured, even if I donâ??t promote GDI, I still get a lot for my money and I get the website I have always wanted along with a bunch of other stuff. Of course I am promoting GDI because I completely believe in their company and where they are headed in the future and I want to be a part of that future.
Now that I am an affiliate of GDI, I began my road to success. Now because I am not one of those computer guruâ??s, making $15,000+ per month, I call it my road to â??Soon To Be Successâ?. All I mean by this is; I am a very motivated person and with all the internet has to offer, along with GDI, I will succeed in my business venture. I have a computer, I have time, I want to learn, I like to read, itâ??s fun and I want to SUCCEED!
First and foremost, I have GDIâ??s success backing me. Now it is up to me to explore all the avenues of affiliate marketing. At first I was overwhelmed with all the emails, ads, and promotions from other affiliates and companies trying to get me to buy their marketing ideas. I had to stop and slow down as I wasnâ??t sure where to start with all of this. Not only that, it could get very expensive buying into everything you read about.
I took some advise from a fellow affiliate and hooked up with David Parnell. I believe him to be one of those computer guruâ??s I mentioned earlier, but his initial information to me was free and very informative. Those are the 2 key factors: FREE & INFORMATIVE. Of course, there is always an end to free, so once I figured out he would help me, I joined his team. But still, first and foremost, GDI is my primary business. I will be a part of the GDI team even if I never do affiliate marketing again.
I have only been doing this for about 6 weeks and I have learned so much in such a short time. For those of you who think this is a â??Get Rich Quickâ? program or you want an â??Instant Incomeâ?, you are in the wrong business. I figured that out right away. I know it will take a little time, but I have the time â?? and once I start making those riches, WATCH OUT! Set a goal for yourself on how much you want to make within a certain time. Goals are great and they give you something to work toward. Work with your team of affiliates to help in your success. As I say to my team: â??Your success is my success.â? You have to believe that you can and you will.
TEAM! That is what it is all about. To be successful, you have to help out your team, but remember, you need a strong and solid primary business to begin your affiliate future. Make sure to check into the company or person you select. You want them to give you something FREE as well as a great package deal and plenty of support.
Here is my current status as an affiliate marketer / business owner. I am currently still building my website at: http://www.betterlifestyle.ws. I have most of it completed, but there is so much you can continually change on a website, that Iâ??m not so sure it is ever complete, especially when you are an affiliate marketer. I want to add more pages and of course add much more advertising links to generate more commissions.
In addition to that, David has given me some very good information that I have put to use and am continually working on. His best piece of advice is consistency, consistency, consistency! That is so true. You just have to keep on putting it out there on a regular basis.
Like I said, I am not one of those guruâ??s earning thousands per month, but all in good time. I currently have about 57 affiliates in my down-line. Not bad for a newbie and I know it will continue to grow, especially as they all become motivated to reach their goals for financial freedom.
I am a working mother of 3 children and I do my affiliate business in my spare time. I one day hope to be a stay-at-home mom and operate my home business as my only income provider. My goal is to be earning over $10,000 per month within 1 year of becoming an affiliate marketer. I know I can do it â?? I am on my road to â??Soon To Be Success!â?
